At the modern age the anxiety level is increased among the people. Study of mental health released by the Surgeon General evaluated that more than 16% of the U.S. population suffer from anxiety.

Many of us will get involved daily and experience anxiety periodically but some of us experience anxiety more than the other. To some extent it can become a destructive force in life. How many times do you feel anxious in a day? What is anxiety? What causes it? And how you can overcome anxiety? These are questions of many people. The good news here is that the study shows if you get appropriate treatment you can make a good recovery and overcome your anxiety. Up to 90% of people who choose a suitable way to for the anxiety were successful. Not so hard? It seems but an appropriate treatment must be based on cognitive approach which helps you to reform your life with treating anxiety.

During an anxiety attack the stress hormones like adrenaline is released at a time without any emergency condition. I mean your body gets ready for fight and a fight response will be initiate when there is no fear or danger, your body releases that extra “fuel” but not any fight to consume it. Thus you feel pretty anxious and frazzled.

An anxiety attack can stop your regular daily activities. One minute you can be perfectly normal, and then in a split second, panic starts to set in. Your heart begins to beat more and you feel something is exploding inside your chest. You can’t think rationally, anybody around you understands your speech difficulties and you may do unconventional things during an anxiety attack. This behavior may be bizarre to person who never gone through it but it seems natural to person who has experienced anxiety attack.

When anxiety and its problems come to society we encounter with SAD. People who suffer from social anxiety disorder (SAD), the anxiety and discomfort become so extreme that it interferes with daily acting. People with disorder have an irrational fear of being noticed, judged. They have extreme fear to be situated in places where they don’t know other people and are anxious about being humiliated or even have fear that others will notice their anxiety. SAD is one of the most common mental disorders that many of us have experienced it a lot.

There is a difference between the normal shyness and the shyness that relates to social anxiety disorder (SAD). People who suffer from it, often do know their fears and anxiety are uncommon but they can’t overcome it. The anxiety may be specific to any type of social situations such as public speaking or initiating and striking up a conversation.

The most effective treatment options for SAD are medication and cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT). Often these two forms of remedy will be used together for better results.
In addition to these solutions you can do a number of things that can help you and be so beneficial to improve and treat your anxiety. Some of these include relaxation, meditation, having enough sleep, exercising and avoiding the situations that make you anxious. Remember that anxiety is not a sign of weakness and debility. It is a real medical condition that needs enough attention.
